The Voxel network has been engineered for the maximum performance and reliability possible for our clients, with no expense spared. Unlike many other companies in the industry, Voxel is a facilities-based provider that owns and operates its own network.
The core of our network runs on redundant Juniper M-series routers, which offer offer significantly better performance and resiliency to denial of service attacks than their equivalent Cisco counterparts. Using BGP4+ routing, we have the ability to ensure that your visitors are able to get to your site using the shortest and most optimal path.
We have multiple transit connections with national and global Tier-1 providers, as well as regional Tier-2 providers. Having multiple providers improves both the reliability of our platform (since we are not solely dependent on any one provider) as well as performance (we take full routes from each provider).
In late 2003, we began to operate our own private regional backbone, with network nodes in Newark New Jersey, New York City and Albany New York. We have multiple transit providers at each node, and each node is connected via high speed oc3 and gigabit ethernet private leased lines.
