In 1997, TechnoLutherans, Ltd., the predecessor of TechnoStars, was founded. At it inception, the company focused its primary business operations on providing Lutheran churches an opportunity to get on the World Wide Web as quickly and cost-efficiently as possible. Starting with a single web site (Luther95.org) and a handful of churches in the Baltimore-Washington corridor, the company quickly grew to supporting thousands of churches on six continents.
In 2000, TechnoLutherans, Ltd became TechnoStars, reflecting the expansion of its business and services to a much wider community than just Lutheran churches. Today, the company provides hosting, technology assessment, web design, and project management services to many different for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
In 2001, TechnoStars opened new data centers in Canada and the United States in order to provide a more robust hosting environment and reliability. At the same time, the company introduced many new products and features to make web design easier and more affordable to organizations of all sizes.
In 2004, TechnoStars opened a fourth North American data center to provide even better support for our clients.
