HTTPme.com was established by Robert Walker in December 2001. Basically I saw a need for a focussed .COMmunity based hosting provider that gave webmasters the opportunity to host Multiple Domain Names under the 1 hosting account. It is not uncommon for the average webmaster to have several websites under development covering different areas of interest/business. I myself in the past have had many sites [personal and business] running at the same time and always sought out a service that allowed Multiple Domain Hosting at affordable prices.

Basically HTTPme.com was built from the ground up as if I was a client and what would be the things that I would be searching for and requiring. I needed to save money with my hosting expenses. This was the first priority for the HTTPme.com business model. Hence we offer hosting plans that start at just $35.00/mth with advanced tools such as PHP, MySQL, Private CGI, PHP-MySQL Forum, PHP-MySQL Shopping cart and much more.
Our hosting plans also allow true Multiple Domain Hosting by giving our clients the freedom to host as many domains as they like inside predetermined Disk Space and Data Transfer limits.
The ultimate hosting experience
The next aspect of HTTPme.com was that the hosting had to be built around a .COMmunity that delivered the ultimate hosting experience and unparalleled customer care and support. I wanted to be able to access the community and post questions and have those questions answered by the support staff and other members in the community. I also would search through the forum for keywords that I am researching etc and see what others have had to say regarding the subject. Like most webmasters, I crave this interaction as it stimulates my learning processes and is enjoyable. Hence HTTPme.com was created.

Service is what people scream for and demand these days. Too many hosts ignore this critical aspect to the business and clients feel let down. We dont treat our clients like numbers. The technology
NACs connections to multiple backbone providers, and peering with many carriers on a regional and international basis, allows them to easily reach remote networks even in the case where a NAP may be unhealthy, or when a specific backbone connection is down. It also allows NAC to make intelligent routing decisions; for example, if they are trying to reach a remote network which is on the Sprint network, theres no reason to send it out to UUNET first.
By placing their core nodes at places like Equinix and Telehouse, we are guaranteed a level of competent service. All of NACs core nodes employ SONET networks, which essentially provides a dual-redundant, counter-rotating ring technology, and in the event of a fiber cut, the SONET will automatically heal itself. NAC also divide our circuits among several telecommunications providers, such as Verizon, MFS/Worldcom, and Adelphia.
Old fashioned honesty and integrity -
Another aspect of HTTPme.com was that it had to be built around honesty and integrity. Theres way too much sugar-coating and straight out deceitfulness on the internet these days. We believe that honesty is the best policy.
Most hosts will also claim that they run their own datacenter. I would say that 99.5\% of web hosts do not own the datacenter that their servers are housed in. We lease equipment inside the NAC datacenter and do not own the datacenter. It would be nice if the hosting industry worldwide was as honest in this respect.
The stability
HTTPme.com is a 100\% debt free hosting company. We never incur debt. We always pay upfront for services pertaining to our business. Our business is also cashflow positive and profitable. Those 3 factors - debt free, cashflow positive and profitable lay the foundation to build a very strong business that will be around for a very long time. Web Hosting providers that are debt free, cashflow positive and profitable are very far and few between these days.
