Hostcentric was formed in May 2000 through a merger of entities, each with 3-5 years of experience, creating a company with a depth of experience and services unmatched in the industry. Our operating divisions include Web Hosting, Media Solutions and ASP (Application Service Provider)/Managed Services. We support our customers by supplying and maintaining hardware and equipment, and by providing outstanding service from a team of seasoned professionals. We support our enterprise customers with a suite of ASP and managed services that is one of the most comprehensive in the industry, with specialized networking, security, administration, database and application hosting services. Our experience managing enterprise sites - utilizing powerful, secure systems and high-bandwidth Web solutions, ensures maximum performance levels. As one of the first designated OAAP’s (Oracle Authorized Application Provider), and the only OAAP to implement Oracle’s e-Business Suite 11i® internally, we have established a proven implementation track record. In addition, Hostcentric was one of the first authorized ASPs for Tivoli’s remote management applications. Network Infrastructure
This data center has over 2.5 Gigs of Internet connectivity via DS3, OC3, OC12, OC48 and Gigabit Ethernet connections to a wide variety of peer points and transit providers. The circuits are terminated in our data center on carrier class, Cisco Systems 6509, 7500 and 12000 routers.
As a Tier 1 ISP, Hostcentric has established extensive public and private peering relationships. Peer points currently include the Pacific Bell NAP, Palo Alto Internet Exchange, Mae West and Mae West ATM. BGP4 is used for optimal route selection and automatic fail over
Network bandwidth is carefully monitored to ensure that customer utilization does not exceed online capacity during peak Internet traffic times. Customers can also install their choice of access lines into the data center for backend connectivity to their servers.
