History
When Philip Hagen started working on the Internet in the mid 90's, he knew it was going to change the way people would live and work. In 1995, Phil, an attorney and self-taught programmer, launched the Washington, DC Registry, a comprehensive local community guide for the Washington, DC metropolitan area. In 1997, Phil began developing a classifieds section and other software for this web site. Soon after, other web site builders were asking Phil if his programs were for sale. Then he met Mona Sehgal, who was working at MCI at the time. She quickly saw the opportunity to work with smaller, more innovative companies. Several years later, e-Classifieds® has become the leading provider of web-based classifieds software. Soon after, e-Classifieds® customers began asking for web hosting services, and Hagen Hosting was born to provide solutions to meet their unique needs.
