In the Spring of 2001, Glide Media Inc. set out to establish a quality web hosting solution to complement its web design division. Glide Hosting is the results of those efforts.
As web designers and programmers, our company realizes the needs of designers for quality web hosting. Thats why we built our system from the ground up. Our Glide Control Panel and Asset Control is a unique system developed specifically for Glide Hosting. In addition to being our own system, it is also a constant work in progress and we will continue to bring new features online as time passes. If you think we need a feature, let us know, we will try and incorporate it into our system. It is this sort of flexibility that we pride ourselves on.

The Network
Our servers are colocated in Peer 1 Networks Downtown Vancouver datacenter. We have 24/7 around the clock unescorted access to our machines.

Peer1 doesnt fool around, their 100\% Cisco powered internal network prioritizes high performance and redundancy. State of the art, fault tolerant software utilizes Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), guaranteeing that in the event that a router or router port fails, the hot standby router will take over within a maximum of 40 seconds.
Our servers enjoy an air-conditioned, secure area protected from the outside world by security staff, cameras, key cards, pin codes and locks. UPS systems and diesel generators keep them running while the Cisco powered network keeps them continuously connected so your customers can reach you 24 hours a day.
Our Servers
Our servers contain redundant power supplies, redundant cooling fans, and RAID 5 redundant SCSI storage systems including online spares. If a hard drive fails, an online spare will automatically replace the failed drive and our servers will assume no data loss.
We use enterprise class Compaq Proliant Servers. These are powerful, multiprocessor, highly redundant machines.
