Overview
Black Cat Networks Ltd was founded in 1999 by Jonathan McDowell and Simon Huggins who remain the sole directors. The company was founded originally to provide technically excellent web hosting and domain registration at sensible prices in the UK. The company still has a very technical focus and has never forgotten its roots in web hosting but now has grown from just one server colocated with another ISP to now having 13 racks of colocated machines, two racks of dedicated servers and two racks of our own kit spread across three London data centres.
What we do
Our main business is colocating servers and providing dedicated servers, web hosting, ADSL, email hosting, redirections, shell accounts, and other Internet services.
We have gained our reputation based on technical excellence in our core business; in the past, when some things haven't had pretty web interfaces we've altered things promptly by hand. Gradually, especially since we've both gone full time for Black Cat Networks, we've built the interfaces you see today.
We're always improving our services and these interfaces and if you see a particular need or a bug then you should mention it to us
Why you should use us
We're a small UK based company and we see this as a big advantage to you. It means you get right through to us the people who really care about our business and the way we are represented. You'll get better support than going through several levels of technical support before you get to someone with the required knowledge to sort out your problem.
We're also more amenable to custom solutions where larger organisations aren't necessarily. Please do talk to us if you have an idea which doesn't quite fit into what you see on our site. We do consider all reasonable propositions.
