Virginia TechMs. Ward's experience in the industry began after graduating from Virginia Tech in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science degree in the Human Services field. Her interest and spirit to help others translated into a career of assisting individuals and businesses attain their online goals. From 1995 to present, Kelly continues to expand her online portfolio, which consists of literally hundreds of websites, countless digital advertisements and a proven history of effective websites and advertising.
Media GeneralFrom 1999 until late 2003, Ms. Ward served as the Online Production Manager for Media General Inc's Interactive Media Division, overseeing the company's Virginia region. Projects included overseeing the online integrity of 7 daily news publication, 4 weekly, 2 monthly, various client websites, digital advertising design, and implementation of Classified advertising products. Some of these included GatewayVA.com (Gateway Virginia - statewide portal), TimesDispatch.com (Richmond Times-Dispatch), VirginiaBusiness.com (Virginia Business Magazine), NBC12.com (NBC12 Richmond), InsideNoVA.com (Inside NoVA - Northern Virginia portal), DailyProgress.com (Charlottesville Daily Progress), and others.
University of Richmond School of Continuing StudiesMs. Ward has attended the University of Richmond School of Continuing Studies to prepare for Internet Webmaster Certification, not to mention a variety of professional training courses offered by EEI Communications for Web Project Management.
Community College Workforce AllianceFrom 2003 to present, Ms. Ward serves the Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA) as Assistant Program Manager and Web Development Consultant through the Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED). The CCWA is a partnership between J. Sargeant Reynolds and John Tyler Community Colleges to serve the workforce and economic development needs of the region. Kelly works on various projects through the CED, but is involved specifically with the CD Program, producing Interactive Guides to Starting a Business. The CD Program was developed and produced during 2003 with funding by the Greater Richmond Partnership. To date, over 14 versions have been produced or are in production throughout Virginia and for the State of North Carolina. These include: Virginia Department of Business Assistance (Statewide), City of Richmond, City of Norfolk, City of Hampton (In Production), City of Virginia Beach (In Production), Chesterfield County, Hanover County, Henrico County, Goochland County, Stafford County, King William County, Town of West Point, Metropolitan Business League, North Carolina Community College System (Statewide). From 2003 until September 2005, Ms. Ward served as Partner and President of Bravo Multimedia, LLC, offering internet services to clients in Richmond and beyond. Ms. Ward's main contributions to Bravo Multimedia were product development, sales & marketing, personnel and project management. She also acquired the company's status of preferred web development vendor with the U.S. Senate Republican Conference in Washington, DC for the United States Congress. Bravo Multimedia continues to maintain an upstanding reputation in the community.
