Amhosting.com has been in the hosting business for over five years running. We started in business in Sept 1997 by housing our servers in remote locations such as San Jose, San Diego and St Louis. When expectations did not meet demands we decided it was time to relocate in and take full control of the business in April 1999. We now own and operate our own debt free Network Facility in Reno Nevada. As the hosting business grew we incorporated under the name American Internet Communications Inc. on Dec 10, 2000. Over this period of time we have come to realize what the average person is looking for in a hosting company. In our opinion excellent hosting is composed of, fast and reliable network, precise and quick support, affordable hosting plans, and fair business practice. American Internet also offers affordable domain registration through Domaintechs.com and custom-built servers and collocation racks through Hostrack.com. For local residents we provide unlimited dial-up access for only $10/Month.
Located in Reno, NV 4690 Longley Lane suite 34 & 35. American Internet leases 4000 square foot office and houses 2 fully self-contained server rooms. One server room is setup for production servers while the other server room houses servers for local and aboard customers. Each server room has 2 full working alarm systems and coming soon a full network surveillance system, which can be viewed; live from anywhere in the world. American Internet is debt free, and privately owned, and operated with currently 8 employees.
This is a shot of some cubicles that our main support staff use. We currently have 2 large office rooms that house our cubicles and may need to convert the un-used warehouse into more office space if business continous as it is.
Our production servers housed in a dust free air-conditioned room. Each server is monitored 24/7 for load and vital processes. In an event something goes wrong we are notified immediately via pagers and e-mail.
This screen shot is of some of our servers in action. We like to keep our network clean and organized. All the servers are connected to remote reboot switches. This allows us to reboot the server from anywhere in the world. Our entire network is setup for wireless connections from with-in our office and outside our office. Each and every server is connected to a 10/100 port. We also sell and lease dedicated servers just like the ones we use in our production line, if youre interested and getting a dedicated server with a reboot switch of your own that is an option you have.

A 85 kilo Watt diesel generator provides more than enough energy to power the entire complex in the event of a black out. We test the generator once a month and allow to run for more then 30 minutes at a time.
All servers have backup UPS battery backup that provide 30 minutes power and protect servers from power surges and brown outs.
We run a wireless network for our office environment and we even have these iPAQ handhelds with aircards that allow us to access any server or reboot switch from just about anywhere.
