We stick solidly to our one-price hosting philosophy. After a quick verification that your current usage does not violate our guidelines (basically no porn, warez, illegal files, massive file archives), you will be given more space.
As you might know, we previously had an un-metered diskspace policy. Our current plan is very similiar. The only difference is that by giving initial limits we are better able to manage disk space usage and add drives/split servers as required.
Many people are un-trusting of companies that offer un-limited diskspace. So are we! Nobody can offer unlimited diskspace. Our plan is designed to give users the best of both worlds - all users get 225 megs of guaranteed space while users with legitimate needs get the space they need without ever incurring extra fees.

Does this mean I cant have family photo albums, or other types of file archives?
Family photo albums, or other general purpose photo galleries are almost always fine. Our restrictions are mainly against an archive of photos, for example, of music artists, tv clips, or other types of archives that attract a large amount of traffic and cause problems for all the other users on the server.
Even the examples we just gave as being unacceptable can be fine as long as they do not cause exessive use of system resources. We do not have any bans on any particular files types or content.
The goal of our policy is simply to ensure that everyone on the server always has fast, smoothly running service. Unfortunatly, we sometimes have clients who sign-up with the intent of offloading their popular files to our servers (ie. cramming as many popular files, pictures, etc. onto their account as possible). This type of use is not acceptable. We have other un-advertised plans that might better suit your sites needs. We strive to accommodate all websites, big and small!
