Data center operator and managed services provider Peak 10 (peak10.com) newly added Electronic Vaulting to its suite of managed services offerings. E-Vaulting enhances customers’ backup and storage needs by providing secure data transfer to a second Peak 10 facility.
“It used to be enough for companies to backup data at a single site. But a large and growing number of our clients now require that backed up data is stored in at least two separate locations,” claimed Monty Blight, Peak 10 vice president for managed services. “this approach is quickly becoming a standard best practice driven by compliance with regulations like HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and Graham-Leach-Blilley. Peak 10 provides fully managed disk-to-disk-to-tape backup solutions for its customers, including full weekly backups and daily incrementals.”
E-Vaulting expands on this by duplicating backed-up data to a second Peak 10 facility, monitoring transferring data in order to ensure complete and accurate backups. E-Vaulting clients have access to multiple Internet service providers from each Peak 10 data center, ensuring constant backup of data, regardless if one ISP shuts down.
