On 4th May 2007, Raritan, a provider of management solutions, pronounced that it will be showing its next-generation suite of solutions that improve data center and branch office management including its new Dominion Serial and KVM-over-IP solutions that help IT teams manage their server racks, with features that include Universal Virtual Media to conveniently access storage media on remote servers. The Dominion KX II provides a remote video resolution, Absolute Mouse Synchronization and a browser-based user interface. Dominion KX II also comes with dual power supplies and dual gigabit Ethernet ports with automatic failover protection.
It is designed to complement customers' existing IT infrastructures, including firewalls and VPNs, the Raritan out-of-band remote management solution establishes layers of deterrents to block unauthorized access. It leverages Raritan's KVM-over-IP, Serial-over-IP and remote power control technologies. Apart from servers, switches and routers, the Dominion XRO can also be used to manage POS systems, PBXs, headless servers, other network devices, serial equipment and environmental control devices.
