BladeLogic, Inc., a provider of data center automation software, newly launched BladeLogic Virtualization Manager, a software solution to enable seamless management of physical and virtual computing platforms, with key features include a single interface and unified policy for virtual and physical server environments resulting in highly consistent management of server and application configurations, native support for tasks such as provisioning, deleting, starting and stopping virtual machines with built-in auditing capabilities, granular role-based access control that can be managed at the virtual host, virtual machine or configuration level to control, track and report on user activity and configuration changes, rules-based auditing to provide flexible and accurate auditing within and across virtual and physical servers and integrated packaging and remediation of virtual host and machine configurations to allow for easy portability and resource tuning across servers and data centers.
