Voxel dot Net, Inc, an Internet infrastructure provider, on 3rd April 2007 pronounced the New York expansion of its optical network and the addition of its high-bandwidth server farm, including an additional metro dark fiber ring and a high-bandwidth server farm at 111 8th Avenue - currently a Voxel 'Super POP' IP location. The Voxel server farm features the company's standard IP core design, multiple 10-Gigabit transit and transport uplinks and rapid server deployment capability.
"Even with our aggressive national build out underway, demand is beginning to outstrip our physical capacity in New York, with remaining space at our private SOHO facility largely pre-sold," stated Zachary Smith, Executive Vice President, Voxel dot Net. "Given the exponential growth of traffic on our network, the Voxel strategy of leveraging private dark fiber to access key interconnection facilities is paying off for our customers - we're able to offer a level of scalability greater than that of our competition."
