On November 5, 2007, web hosting provider AptHost (apthost.com) has released fully managed dedicated servers in both Linux and Windows.
Brian French, CEO and founder of AptHost, commented: "We utilize nothing but top notch hardware on top of one of the largest networks and bandwidth providers to provide fast speed, great network uptime and more."
AptHost is offering three levels of managed services to customers who choose to signup with a dedicated server. Each service includes a certain number of available tickets per month along with free monitoring and notification from website monitoring solutions provider PingDom (pingdom.com).
The Web hosting provider has also released an upgrade of its FFmpeg Hosting, which includes updated versions of audio/video tools such as MEncoder, libogg and FFmpeg. These work in unison to provide the capability to stream videos with scripts like PHPmotion and Clip-Share.
