Internet exchange and collocation services provider Switch and Data (switchanddata.com) recently pronounced that voice over Internet protocol services provider Broadvox (broadvox.net) has expanded its presence into Switch and Data facilities in nine markets to extend its reach and further penetrate the VoIP markets.
Broadvox helps reduce transit costs, enables new services and improves voice quality by collocating and connecting to its customers and prospects in Switch and Data's facilities in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Seattle and Tampa.
The company uses Switch and Data's PAIX VoIP solution to exchange its traffic with other providers in a facility via an all-IP peering environment, partitioned from other PAIX peering traffic to provide high voice quality service. Broadvox is expanding into new Switch and Data facilities to meet the escalating demand for VoIP services in markets across the United States.
"Switch and Data's wide geographic footprint and high density and diversity of carriers, services providers and customers provide the ideal environment for Broadvox to grow its wholesale VoIP business," said Ernie Sampera, senior VP of marketing at Switch and Data. "Broadvox accelerates deployment of its new SIP trunking service to enterprises and SMBs by originating and terminating traffic IP end-to-end on our PAIX VoIP Exchanges in multiple markets nationwide."
