OpSource to Participate at SIIA

By Coby Thornton - October 22nd, 2007

On October 17, 2007, software as a service provider OpSource (opsource.net) pronounced that two key members of its management team will participate at the second annual SIIA OnDemand Conference (siia.net/ondemand/2007). Richard Dym, senior VP of marketing and business development, and Don Barlow, senior VP of operations and engineering, will present.

Dym will moderate "Customer Centricity," a panel discussion that discusses the practices of innovators and traditional software companies in maximizing the new on-demand capacities of the Web to enable customers to take part in every business and technology decision. Dym's panel will include IT Factory CEO Stein Bagger, MB&A director Mikael Blaisdell, Burke Technology Marketing founder and president Patty Burke and Citrix VP of product marketing and business development Mike Mansbach.

Barlow will serve as a panelist for "Building the Data Center of the Future," which will look at how the modern IT architect can handle an increasing need for capacity, high-availability and performance created by the growth of new technologies, such as SaaS and Web 2.0, while minimizing human intervention and remaining cost-effective. The panel will be joined by panel moderator Daniel Golding, VP and senior analyst for Tier1 Research, Bert Armijo, founder and VP of product management for 3Tera, Clodoaldo Barrera, chief technical strategist for IBM and Frank Bruno, senior business strategist for Iron Mountain - Intellectual Property Management.

Both panels run from 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. PST on November 8 at the Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose, California. SIIA OnDemand is the industry's only conference for enabling and delivering Software as a Service.
