They have over 100 free features, unlimited mailboxes and bandwidth, marketing assistance, and many more. All those from just $7.95 onwards; 1and1 sure do offer a bang for your buck. If you need a dedicated version, it only cost you an upgrade to $69.95 monthly.
Technology and Reliability
Their web hosting packages covers all the requirements of a standard web site to be able to operate. Should you require specific needs for your web site, their higher web hosting plans would also cover them for an extra monthly fee.
We have had hardly any server outages. It would be a lie to say they have never been down - every one of the hosting companies we reviewed has had downtime, on occasion.
The question is not IF downtime happens, the question is when it happens - and on that occasion, it is very important to have a hosting company that is capable to quickly resolve any ongoing issues, so your site is back online in no time.
Customer Service
The Business 1 Plan can only have "online support". If you need to get their 24/7 Toll Free support, you need to get at least their Business 2 Plan which cost some $19/Month. But once you're on the right plan, customer service is excellent! Online tech support are also very helpful, but sometimes when you need prompt respond over the phone, we suggest you to go with at least the Business 2 plan.
Control Panel
Through testing, the control panel has been very fast and very reliable. It is very user-friendly and easy to operate. Included is an extensive customer guide which can quickly guide even the most reluctant novice.
